Who we are and what this policy covers
Market Action Dynamics (“MAD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides market-planning, research, publishing, calendar, analytical, and educational tools. This Privacy Policy applies to marketactiondynamics.com and the MAD applications, dashboards, communications, and services that link to it (collectively, the “Services”).
The Services may operate as a private preview while we test and improve features. The same privacy principles apply during the preview and after a broader production launch.
MAD is not a broker-dealer and does not currently execute trades or request brokerage passwords. Market plans, watchlists, calculations, and research inputs you save are treated as account data.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and profile information: name, email address, profile image, username, account identifiers, role, membership level, and preferences.
- Planning and workspace information: watchlists, selected tickers, calendars, alerts, trading-model criteria, event plans, notes, dashboard settings, calculations, and other information you choose to save.
- Contributor and community information: article drafts, submissions, bylines, biographies, source materials, comments, and communications with our editorial or support teams.
- Subscription information: plan, transaction status, billing contact details, and limited payment metadata. Payment processors, rather than MAD, are expected to process full payment-card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- device, browser, operating-system, IP-address, language, and approximate location information;
- pages and features used, referring pages, dates, times, interactions, errors, and diagnostic information; and
- authentication, security, and session information, including essential cookies used to maintain private-preview and account access.
Information from other sources
If you sign in through Google, Facebook, X, or another identity provider, we receive information that provider makes available under your settings and authorization, such as your name, email address, profile image, and provider account identifier. We may also receive market data, publication metadata, and publicly available information from data and content providers.
How we use information
- provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services;
- authenticate users and administer accounts, permissions, memberships, private-preview access, and premium features;
- save dashboards, watchlists, plans, calculations, calendars, preferences, and contributor submissions;
- review, edit, approve, attribute, and publish contributor content;
- deliver service messages, security notices, support responses, and communications you request;
- monitor reliability, diagnose problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect users, MAD, and the Services;
- analyze aggregate usage and develop new products and features; and
- comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Services, comply with legal obligations, or act with your consent.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to:
- service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, security, communications, analytics, customer support, payments, and market-data delivery;
- identity providers when you choose social sign-in, subject to the provider’s own privacy practices;
- other users and the public when you submit content for publication or choose to make profile information public;
- professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for legal, compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or security purposes; and
- transaction participants in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
We may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
Advertising and data sales
MAD does not currently sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Services may display sponsorships or advertisements selected from page context rather than an individualized activity profile.
If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required notice and opt-out controls, including support for applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect the Services. Retention varies according to the information’s nature, sensitivity, purpose, and legal requirements.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely isolate it. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups and security records.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authenticated sessions, encryption in transit, and service-provider controls. No online service or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Protect your login credentials and notify us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling. You may also have the right to appeal a decision regarding a privacy request and to receive equal service after exercising your rights.
You may update certain account information through your profile. To submit another privacy request, email privacy@marketactiondynamics.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted.
We do not currently sell personal information or process it for targeted advertising. If that changes, MAD will provide the applicable opt-out mechanism.
International users
MAD is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may contact their local data-protection authority and may object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable.
Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services and legal requirements evolve. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required.
